My painting has been inspired by Wes’ 2009 stop-motion animated film, Fantastic Mr. Fox, based on the Roald Dahl children’s novel of the same name. It’s called ‘White Cape Rules’ and focuses on Ash’s obsession with the comic book superhero White Cape. I was pleased as punch to find he sold at the opening reception!

The show opened on 26th October and runs until 24th November. Pop along and feast your eyes.

Art Whino and the Army of Snipers have teamed up to organise a travelling group show to benefit humanitarian missions around the world. Each participating artist will be transforming weapons which were once used to oppress the masses and deconstructing, re-skinning and transforming them as unique works of art in the vain of helping humanity.

The show opened in Richmond, it then hit San Diego’s Comic Con and I’m jumping on board for the last two dates, being, New York Comic Con (this weekend) and then on to Miami, Florida.

I had fun painting up a machete and taking inspiration from tarot card number thirteen, featuring Death, who is often symbolically interpreted as transformative.

With a plethora of hilarious moments to take inspiration from, I plumped for a lil’ bit of karate in the garage.

If you go and see the show, we might just become best friends (31st August through 22nd September).

I took inspiration for my piece from what it most probably my favourite movie of all time, the Coen Brothers‘ classic, The Big Lebowski. I’m very aware that there are many Lebowski themed works out there, so I decided to focus my attention on The Stranger, a character who is often overlooked. It’s a playful piece which references his love for a good sarsaparilla.

The show opened on August 9th and runs until September 1st and is definitely one to check out!

Catapult Issue 12

The first half of this year, I was holed up burning the midnight oil, in order to produce the work for this show and I’ve been really looking forward to the moment when I could share it with you all. This body of work continues to explore and expand on ideas evidenced in my previous efforts. I’ve taken many of the themes which interest me, such as identity, language, number, pop and subculture, myth, archetypes, etc. and looked at them through the lens of how these cultural phenomenons and languages shape the mystery that is our consciousness.

The show opened on July 14th and runs until August 31st, so there’s plenty time left to make the trip along to see it.

For the show, I have released a new limited edition giclee print of my Undead Jed painting. The printed area is 10” x 14” with a 1” border all round which brings the overall size up to 12” x 16”. It has been produced on 260gsm silk coated fine art paper using archival inks. The silk coating ensures the printed colours are very close to the original. The edition has been limited to 50 and all prints have been numbered, titled and signed by me. I will have number 1 of 50, framed up for the exhibition and all other prints will be for sale through my online store.

The exhibition opened on June 30th and runs until July 28th.

My painting focuses on Buster’s role, in what is one of my favourite scenarios from the show…the infamous “Chicken’s don’t clap!” scene and I was happier than a pig in mud, to find out that it sold at the opening reception!

The show opened on June 29th and is on display through July 21st.

The opening coincides with San Diego’s Comic Con weekend, so it’ll give any of you pop culture junkies out there the chance of getting a second fix. Live music will also be provided on the night, courtesy of SD based band, Sundrop Electric.

All the work has now been finished, varnished, framed and shipped to Subtext. There will be twenty original works in total (thirteen paintings and seven drawings), plus four limited edition giclee prints.

I’m chuffed with how this body work has turned out and am very excited for you all to see it!
